Vigorous Starfactory: Turbulent Existence of NGC 6384
A monstrous machinery - some 80 million light-years away, deep in the constellation Ophiuchius - hides its face behind the stars of the milky way.
This spinning spiral, named NGC 6384, shines bright due to the recently formed, extremely massive and luminous OB Stars.
Orange carpets of dust become torn under the stormy winds, caused baby stars, which wait within. Filters: 814, 435.
Raw data: HST via HLA, NASA/ESA. Processing: N. Sulzenauer.
